Weather, Tastes, etc. in Tagalog, a Catch-all Post

Here's a good link to Tagalog Business Vocabulary:

Panahon = weather

It’s hot today.
Ngayon ay mainit.

Today it will be hot
Ngayon ay iinit.

It is raining today.
Ngayon ay umuulan.

Today it’s going to rain.
Ngayon ay uulan.

Today is sunny.
Ngayon ay ma-araw.

Next week it will be cloudy.
Sa isang linggo ay uusap.
(Not sure whether to use "ay")

Today it is cloudy
Ngayon ay ma-ulap.

sweet matamis
salty maalat
sour maasim
bitter mapait

stars ang mga bituin
sun araw
moon ang buwan

ang yakap the embrace
magyakapan embracing each other
yumakap being embraced
yakapin embrace me

    You can also try these sentences:
    It’s hot today. = Mainit ngayon.

    Today it will be hot. = Magiging mainit ngayon. / Iinit ngayon.

    It is raining today. = Umuulan ngayon.

    Today it’s going to rain. Uulan ngayon.

    Today is sunny. = Maaraw ngayon.

    Next week it will be cloudy. = Sa susunod na linggo ay magiging maulap. / Magiging maulap sa susunod na linggo.

    Today it is cloudy. = Maulap ngayon.

    Spicy = Maanghang
    Bitter = Mapakla/Mapait
    Bland = Matabang

    I think that's it. That's how I say those sentences. Your examples are correct too but I don't use the 'ay' pattern that much. :D
